Jen Rabung, RD/LDN, RYT, CEDS

Founder/Owner

Jen is a weight-inclusive, anti-diet dietitian dedicated to challenging society’s unrealistic pressures around appearance. Alarmed by the rise of disordered eating—even in children as young as five losing their natural ability to eat intuitively—Jen founded Salatino to help individuals struggling with eating disorders. Her mission extends to supporting those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as leading preventative efforts through education and advocacy.

Jen speaks to communities, schools, parents, and healthcare professionals, raising awareness about the increasing prevalence, high mortality rates, and widespread harm of eating disorders across all genders, ethnicities, and races. She believes nobody should have to suffer in silence and is committed to bringing hope and healing to those who need it most.

In addition to her work as a dietitian, Jen is a certified yoga instructor at the YMCA and offers private sessions. She specializes in Restorative, Somatic, and Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy, focusing on supporting the nervous system—particularly for clients navigating eating disorders.

Known for her warm and joyful personality, Jen finds immense fulfillment in helping individuals on their journey toward healing and self-discovery. Laughter and connection are at the heart of her work, and she is honored to be part of each client’s transformative process.

Salatino’s Philosophy

Salatino, which means “pretzel” in Italian, is the perfect symbol to represent our philosophy and, frankly, Jen’s personality.

  • We believe everyone is unique and deserves to be treated as such.

  • We believe we can eat all foods (including pretzels) and be healthy.

  • We believe our society is teaching our young ones the wrong messages about food and nutrition.

  • We believe we can be healthy in bigger bodies.

  • We believe having an eating disorder is traumatic.

  • We believe eating disorders affect every gender, race, and ethnicity.

  • We believe diets can send the wrong messages and typically do not work.

  • We believe in educating clients on nutrition, and why our bodies need certain nutrients.

  • We believe yoga can be a wonderful tool to help bring emotional and physical balance to one’s life.

  • We believe any kind of movement can support our health: yoga, gardening, swimming, walking, any

    movement that brings one joy.

  • We believe eating should be a joyful experience.

  • We believe in a team approach to support clients where appropriate, leveraging experts in psychology, medicine as well as nutrition.

  • We believe we can and should eat foods that bring us joy.

  • We believe it is a privilege and honor to support others on their nutritional journey.
